The Kids Heart Challenge is a program run by the American Heart Association that aims to educate children about heart health through fun, active activities in schools, encouraging them to make healthy lifestyle choices while raising funds to support heart research by participating in fundraising challenges, all while learning important skills like hands-only CPR and understanding the benefits of physical activity and healthy eating.
Over the next few weeks, our Dolphins will be learning about ways to stay heart-healthy and practicing our jump rope skills for our big event! We challenge you to complete the seven important steps of Finn's Mission on your Kids Heart Challenge page to become a lifesaver today. For more information or how to join us at Deerwood's Kids Heart Challenge page.
Deerwood has a long-standing tradition of supporting the American Heart Association’s efforts in saving lives & promoting heart health. Many of us know someone who has been affected by a heart condition and this can be a great opportunity to support them. Attached are instructions on how to make donations if you would like to help. We will be collecting online donations only - cash donations can not be accepted.
Student “Thank You” gifts will be handed out on February 28th when your student attends their Kids Heart Challenge event. Please note, that some additional prizes may need to be ordered. All students will participate on February 28th and celebrate having a healthy heart regardless of donations. Thank you for continuing to partner with Deerwood to support The American Heart Association’s goals of eradicating heart disease!
