Our DWE Golf Club met with Coach Torres and Coach Loson and practiced their golf skills. Our fourth-grade golfers did such a great job. Our 4th grade Golf Tournament was in November, and our two Deerwood representatives will be Piper and Cannon.
First-grade teacher, Rachelle Thomas is collecting used mascara wands for the Appalachian Wild Refuge Center. The Refuge Center uses the wands to clean away oil, mites, infections, larvae, and other contaminants from wildlife. Please clean the wands with Dawn soap, place them in a Ziplock bag, and send them with your child to the attention of Rachelle Thomas.

Today we stopped for a moment to appreciate our veterans and the sacrifices they made for our country. Thank you to Pack 938, Mrs. Allard, and to all our PTA members who helped to make this program so very special. Happy Veterans Day.
DWE RSVP for Thanksgiving Feast and Turkey Trot on November 14th
Parents and Guardians, RSVP if you plan to attend the school events on November 14th. Students and their guests will participate in the Turkey Trot immediately before their scheduled Thanksgiving Feast.
The 5th Grade Bake Sale will be open during all feasts, with treats sold for cash donations. All proceeds will help our 5th-grade students attend BizTown.
Book Fair shopping with your student will also be open immediately after their scheduled feast.
The RSVP will allow us to prepare your Raptor Name Badge beforehand.
Students and staff are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue tomorrow, Friday, November 10th. Please check your Dolphin Mail to RSVP to our Veterans Day Program and Donuts with Davies on Friday.

Today was a spaghetti sauce day for our Food Drive for the Society for St. Stephens. If you forgot, you are welcome to bring some later. Wednesday's item is canned tuna. Thursday is peanut butter, and Friday is brownie mix. Thank you for helping us to spread kindness into our community.

We are grateful for our veterans who have dedicated their lives to protecting our country. Our fifth graders are performing a Veterans Day Program at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, November 10th. All Veterans and family members are invited to attend as we pay tribute to those who fought for our country.
There will be a breakfast for Veterans to enjoy set up in the music room along with pictures of families’ of Veterans displayed in the hallway.
November's Doughnuts with Davies is coming on Friday, November 10th following the Veterans Day program at 9:15 a.m. Join Mrs. Davies for doughnuts and all the news that is the news at Deerwood.
