A treasured partner of Humble ISD, the Humble ISD Education Foundation, demonstrated their support for our educators and students during the Tuesday, December 12, 2023 board meeting.
In September, the Education Foundation kicked off this year’s Employee Giving Campaign with the theme “Humble ISD: Where the Rock Stars Shine Bright,” a theme reflective of the way Humble ISD employees go above and beyond to support student success.
During an update of this year’s Employee Giving Campaign, Deborah Rose Miller, the Chair of the Humble ISD Education Foundation, announced that Humble ISD employees have pledged $324,980 to this year’s campaign.
Over $300,000 have been donated to the Education Foundation every year from Humble ISD employees for the past 10 years, allowing the Foundation to say “yes” to more of the grant requests submitted by our educators.
An integral piece of the campaign’s success is the volunteer work completed by 52 campus representatives, who actively serve as ambassadors to promote the opportunity presented by the Employee Giving Campaign and share how these donations are making a difference in classrooms across our school district.
Humble ISD Chief Community Engagement Officer and Education Foundation Executive Director Jerri Monbaron recognized several campuses who have outdone themselves in their participation in this year’s campaign, including:
Bear Branch Elementary- Principal Sloan Simmons and Campus Representative Laura Roberts
Deerwood Elementary- Principal Macaire Davies and Campus Representative Katherine Ward
