Say “hello” to the new elementary parent-teacher communication tool within the Humble ISD app!
On Monday, August 12, guardians of students in Pre-K through 5th grade who do not currently have a Rooms account will receive a text invitation to join Rooms. If you created a Rooms account at the end of the 23-24 school year, you do not need to sign-up again.
With Rooms, parents will be able to:
View each elementary student’s class information all within the Humble ISD app.
View classroom announcements and materials.
Engage with elementary teachers in two-way messaging, keeping all communications with your child’s teacher(s) directly within the Humble ISD app.
Parents of elementary students will only have to create a Rooms account once. Your Rooms account will follow your Humble ISD elementary school student(s) through 5th grade! No need to worry if your child moves classrooms, or even elementary schools. Your Rooms account will stay active as long as your child is an elementary student in Humble ISD.
Note: Middle and High School campuses use other communication platforms such as Schoology or Google Classroom.
So, what do parents need to do to get ready for Rooms?
Make sure to download the current Humble ISD mobile app.

Elementary parents who access Rooms will only have access to information from their student’s teachers in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Children's Online Privacy and Protection Act (COPPA).
We are excited to offer Rooms to our elementary teachers and parents to help you stay informed and connected, all in the same place ~ the Humble ISD mobile app!
