Groves Elementary School librarian, Susan Mitchell, was surprised during the Humble ISD School Board Meeting on Tuesday, October 17, with a presentation by Region 4.
In August, Mitchell was named the 2023-2024 Region 4 Elementary Teacher of the Year after being named the Humble ISD 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year in April.
Region 4 Executive Director Dr. Rodney Watson presented Mitchell multiple gifts including a $500 HEB gift card, a laptop, desk chair and other commemorative items from Region 4. The chair and laptop were donated by Office Depot Business Solutions.
This presentation was done by Region 4 officials to continue to honor Mitchell as the 2023-2024 Region 4 Elementary Teacher of the Year.
