Battle of the Books: District Information
The Wildcat Page Flippers Book Club will meet monthly to prepare for the district competition. We have 3-4 teams of 5-6 students. The teams will compete against one another to determine who will move on to the district competition. The teams that do not move onto the district level should attend to cheer on the other team. Plus, you never know if we need to have a substitute participant. This is a fun-filled day, even if they are not competing!
Chess Club
Club Sponsors: Brandon Collins, Paulina Strom, & Roxana Luis
The Chess Club is open to 3rd - 5th grade students that have been nominated by a teacher. The club is a great way to foster collaboration and teamwork through learning to play chess. Chess is a fun and engaging way for students to learn critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Sewing Club
Club Sponsors: Creativity Shell
Students are nominated by a teacher to participate. There is a limited amount of spaces available.
The sewing/textile arts programs taught by the Creativity Shell are customized and structured based on the age, location and size of the class they are working with. Structured programs are designed to give confidence to the students on a variety of projects that includes sewing by hand and using a machine.
