September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and Humble ISD is excited to continue the partnership with three local non-profits, Addi's Faith Foundation, L3 Foundation, and Mothers Against Cancer, to support families battling pediatric cancer.
You can show your support throughout the month of September by wearing gold!
At the September 10 Humble ISD School Board Meeting, Board Member Mike Grabowski, Board Parliamentarian Marques Holmes, Humble ISD Acting Superintendent Dr. Roger Brown, Board President Chris Parker, Board Vice President Ken Kirchhofer, Board Member Robert Scarfo and Board Member Martina Lemond Dixon showed their support by wearing this year’s Gold Fight Win shirt. Board Secretary Robert Sitton was not at the meeting.
Families can purchase GFW shirts at Ace Hardware at both Kingwood and Atascocita locations, while supplies last.
On Friday, September 13, it is Gold Fight Win day across Humble ISD. All staff and students are encouraged to wear gold to continue to raise awareness about Childhood Cancer.
This year’s t-shirt was designed by Kingwood High School sophomore Meredith Reynolds.
