The Humble ISD Mosaic program is an innovative 18+ transition program for students receiving special education services who have completed all of their high school testing and credit course requirements and continue to need services to meet Texas graduation code requirements. Students learn important self-determination and self-advocacy skills in training/education; employability; and independent living.
As part of their daily classes at the Community Learning Center, Mosaic students have the opportunity to work in the production lab. There they bake dog treats, make wooden signs, lazy susans, t-shirts, coasters, wind chimes and much more! Every item on the shelves in the Spirit Store, outside of the high school merchandise, is made by students in the Mosaic Program. All proceeds (with the exception of the high school merchandise) goes back into the Mosaic program.
