College Night 2024

Join us for College Night from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, at the Humble Civic Center located at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway. Meet with colleges, universities, military and trade schools and learn about the college application process, scholarships, FAFSA and more! The City of Humble is sponsoring this free community event.

Humble ISD school counselors will be host the following sessions:

  • 6 to 6:20 p.m. - Navigating the Path to College: Your Guide to Mastering the Application Process

  • 6:30 to 6:50 p.m. - Unlocking Opportunities: How to Use Naviance for College Searches and Scholarships

  • 7 to 7:20 p.m. - Maximizing Your Financial Aid: A Guide to FAFSA Success

  • 7:30 to 8 p.m. - Mind Matters: Balancing Mental Health and College Prep for Success

The Advanced Learning and Services Department will host the following sessions:

  • Test Talk: What you need to know about the SAT, ACT, and TSIA2

  • Crafting Your College Story: Top tools for essays, resumes, and recommendations

Both of these workshops will be offered at 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30 p.m.

Christina Spears will also return this year to give presentations on scholarships from 7 to 8 p.m.

All special sessions will be held in the breakout rooms in the front of the Civic Center.
