General Information

Kingwood Park High School is developing a strong tradition of providing quality sports medicine care to its student athletes. We have three certified athletic trainers, who cover our 15 sports and more than 40 teams at the middle school, freshman, junior varsity, and varsity levels. Our Sports Medicine Facility/Athletic Training Room is located within our Athletic Complex. Certified  athletic trainers are health care professionals, who work under the direction of a physician, and provide injury and illness prevention, wellness promotion and education, emergent care, examination and clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions both acute and chronic. During practices and home games, a certified athletic trainer is available to evaluate injuries and provide immediate and follow up care. The KPHS athletic training program also allows our own students to assist with the everyday operations of the athletic training room, on-field practice, and game coverage through our Student Athletic Training Program.
