It is with great joy to share the successes of our two all-state students, who endured a rigorous and professional level audition to be selected to the TMEA All-State Orchestra! The students get judged by FIVE different panels of five adjudicators to be named to one of the very limited spots
Zach Houlton became the FIRST Summer Creek Orchestra student to ever be selected to the TOP All-State Orchestra, meaning he was selected as top 16 in the state on cello.
Thomas Feng was also selected to the third All-State group on violin. Despite starting in 6th grade and competing against scores of players who have played since they were 5 years old, Thomas once again made All-State!
Last year, both players were the first selections in program history and have defended this honor via their selection this year.
We congratulate them on this amazing recognition and opportunity to perform in what is widely acknowledged as the top all-state orchestras in the country!
