Atascocita running back Tory Blaylock and Summer Creek defensive end Chad Woodfork were named to the 2024 Touchdown Club of Houston Preseason UIL Football Team and honored at an event on Wednesday, August 14.
Blaylock and Woodfork are two of 37 players from the Greater Houston area to be named to the team.

Woodfork is rated as a four-star prospect by 24/7 Sports and is ranked as the No. 9 defensive end in the nation and No. 20 overall prospect in Texas for the Class of 2025.
On Wednesday, Woodfork was also named to the Houston Chronicle All-Greater Houston Preseason Football Team.
In 13 games last season, Blaylock rushed for 616 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Eagles. Blaylock is verbally committed to the University of Oklahoma and is rated as a four-star prospect by 24/7 Sports. The 5-foot-11 back is ranked as the No. 19 running back in the nation and the No. 38 overall prospect in Texas for the Class of 2025.
The Houston Chronicle released their preseason rankings on Wednesday and Summer Creek came in at No. 2 and Atascocita at No. 3 in the Class 6A poll. The two programs collide on Friday, October 4 at Turner Stadium.
