Humble ISD had 48 volleyball athletes selected to All-District teams at the conclusion of the 2024 campaign.
Atascocita High School brought home the District 23-6A Championship, which marked the program’s second-straight year of claiming the top spot in district. The Lady Eagles went on to reach the Area Round of the Class 6A Division I Playoffs.
Atascocita Coach Madeline Odom was voted the District 23-6A Coach of the Year. Odom registered her 100th career coaching victory this season in leading the Lady Eagles to a 27-12 overall record.
Atascocita’s Jordan Morrow was named the District 23-6A MVP after registering 500 kills and 353 digs in her sophomore season. Gracie WIlliams earned the District 23-6A Setter of the Year after racking up 1,038 assists, averaging 9.2 assists per set and Cherrish Robinson was named the District 23-6A Blocker of the Year with 116 blocks.
Kingwood’s Julianna Kiliddjian was named the District 23-6A co-Defensive Player of the Year after leading the Mustangs with 487 digs. Humble’s Shelby Huckaby was voted the District 23-6A Newcomer of the Year.
Following Atascocita into the District 23-6A playoffs was Kingwood and Summer Creek. In District 18-5A, Kingwood Park earned a spot in the 2024 playoffs after finishing second in district play with a 9-3 mark.
