Summer Creek defeated Cibolo Steele 60-31 in the Class 6A Division I State Semifinal game inside the M.O. Campbell Center on Tuesday night.
The Lady Bulldogs (28-11) with the victory advance to the program's first-ever state championship game. This trip to the State Semifinals marked the fourth in program history, all coming since the 2019 season.
"It being an established program there was only one thing they hadn't done," Summer Creek first-year coach Kiara Marshall said. "You go in that gym and look on that wall, the only thing that's missing is a state championship. Our motto this year was 'Focus and Finish'. Let's focus and finish the job."
Summer Creek will face Cedar Hill on Saturday at 7 p.m. inside the Alamodome in the Class 6A Division I State Championship game. Cedar Hill defeated Plano East 61-51 on Tuesday night.
The Lady Bulldogs have won 22 of its last 24 games and nine-straight contests heading into the title game.
"It's just exciting," Summer Creek junior point guard Kennedy Simpson said. "We're just ready to finish the job."
Summer Creek has defeated Deer Park (73-29), Pearland (51-34), Cypress Falls (59-40), Pearland Dawson (58-42) and Cibolo Steele (60-31) in the 2025 playoffs. The Lady Bulldogs are averaging 60.2 points per game, while only giving up an impressive 35.2 points per game to opponents.
