Welcome WMS Lion Dancers! My name is Ms. Beall and I am so happy to guide you through your exploration of all dance genres this school year. 

Dance is a course that provides students with an exploration of movement. We will learn about body awareness, injury prevention, dance history, cultural dance, social dance, jazz, ballet, modern, and choreography are a few examples of styles/topics that are emphasized throughout the year. 

Students in dance class will work on stretching, dance skills, and dance techniques that will increase their self-confidence, discipline, self-awareness and an appreciation for the art of dance. Dance students may have possible performance opportunities during the school year. 

Dance class is a full participation class and has a dress out/shoe requirements. Dance class can offer a fine arts credit or a PE credit for students at WMS. Dance courses that are currently offered are Dance I, Dance II, and Dance III.
