
Humble ISD will be OPEN Wednesday, January 17. Road conditions have improved. Classes will begin at normal time. School buses and activities will operate on the normal schedule.


Humble ISD will be closed Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Icy roads are not expected to improve by Tuesday morning and there will be very cold wind chills. Stay safe and warm!
The district will continue to monitor the weather and will provide an update on Tuesday regarding Wednesday, January 17, 2024.


Here are my students creating new year's goals for the year. They had to create an academic goal and a personal goal. Then the students decorated their globe with colors that inspired them. We continue to encourage them to reach their goals.


Students self reflected on what they’ve done this year and set goals for the rest of it. We’re sure they will reach all their goals with such positive attitudes.


In math, we're focusing on division. In reading and writing, it's all about summarizing and inferring. Science has us experimenting with magnets and gravity.

A student volunteered to be the teacher and demonstrated his knowledge of adding fractions with unlike denominators. Students were able to ask him questions and he gave feedback.Not only was this student practicing math, he was also practicing leadership skills! Well done!

2nd grade Bulldogs have been learning all about holiday traditions around the world! Our amazing principal came out and read a book to our cachorros about Las Posadas! We loved it!


This week in 5th grade, Mrs. Rathke setup this awesome interactive blacklight experience for our 5th graders, and they had a blast! The students had to read different short stories and scenarios and then make inferences about each one of them.


Winter Break is Here! Wishing all of our families a very happy holiday season! Humble ISD will be closed Dec. 18 through Jan. 1. Staff return Jan. 2 and all classes resume on Jan. 3.


The Fab Firsties celebrated Polar Express Day with Mr. B as our Conductor! He punched out tickets to board The Polar Express!


Centennial Express day was a success & students outdid themselves at the holiday program!


In fifth-grade this week, students created a One-Pager over the book Destiny's Gift. The students inferred multiple themes, analyzed elements of plot, and examined the main character's words, actions, and thoughts.


First Grade is learning about Authors Purpose. We celebrated with a Bakery!!


Mrs.Alarcon's ER doctors worked over time typhus month to "dissect" nonfiction texts. Our doctors identified text features and discussed how they help us as readers!!! 🏥😷#worldchangers


Their hard work and devotion to UFLI gets them 3 minutes of free “table draw” once we finish our lesson! I just love their creativity


Our awesome 2nd graders had a blast measuring the classroom and other objects around our school using giant feet!


1st loved reading our Flyleaf books to decode our digraphs we’re learning in our phonics lessons!


2nd grade has been learning how to identify cause and effect


In 3rd, we explored several methods for calculating elapsed time. In science, we practiced separating mixtures. In reading, we learned about point of view and how character relationships can impact a story. In writing, we practiced how to write an effective answer to a question.
