Congratulations to our District Battle of the Books 1st and 2nd place champions! 2026 marks the third consecutive year RMS has won Battle of the Books—thank you to the parents for supporting these amazing students and our library program.

The Riverwood Drama Society proudly presents their 2026 One Act Play, And a Child Shall Lead, by Michael Slade on March 10th at the Holocaust Museum of Houston at 11 am. Please join us as we celebrate and support our Theatre students in the final performance of their award winning production!

RMS is celebrating our incredible counselors who support and inspire our students every day. We’re so thankful for all you do!

The 2026 Great Riverwood Bake Off in the Library was a sweet success! Many thanks to our awesome PTA for donating the prizes for our competition and a special thank you to all the students who shared their baked items with us at this fun event!

We understand that because of the cold some families may need extra time in the morning and may choose to take students to school rather than have them wait outside at bus stops. To provide flexibility, middle schools and high schools will not record student tardies for the first period on Tuesday. Elementary schools will not record student tardies until after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The district is allowed to exempt first period tardiness due to the weather. However, absences on Tuesday must be recorded due to state education code requirements.
We appreciate your support through the winter storm.

The Countdown is ON! February 1st is the last day to purchase a guaranteed copy of the RMS yearbook, order name stamps or order 8th grade ads. Yearbooks will also be sold AFTER Feb. 2nd but limited quantities will be available, so RESERVE YOUR COPY TODAY. Visit Yearbookordercenter.com and use Code: 25795 to purchase yours today!

RMS has had some special guests recently—our amazing KHS high school scientists! 🔥🔬 Student engagement and learning was ON FIRE today!!!!

Students raced to sort “marbles” into METALS, NONMETALS, and METALLOIDS—testing their science skills and their teamwork. Energy was high, competition was fierce, and the science learning was REAL!
Nothing like a little hippo-powered sorting to make physical properties unforgettable! 💥
