Humble ISD is partnering with Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM) to help make the holidays brighter for students in need this holiday season through the Empty Stocking Seasons of Sharing Drive. Humble ISD's Counseling & Behavioral Services team is working to identify up to 300 families that could use assistance this holiday season.
Humble ISD Athletics and Fine Arts students at middle and high schools are spearheading “Fill the Bus” toy drives at their campuses. Additionally, Humble ISD employees are encouraged to support this outreach program with a donation to HAAM to help provide a holiday meal to these families.
Your family can participate by either:
donating an unwrapped toy to a middle or high school campus between December 1 and December 7 or
donating online by December 7 to help provide food for a holiday dinner for a family in need
“HAAM is proud to partner with Humble ISD to help families when they need us the most,'' Millie Garrison, HAAM Executive Director, said.
Ensuring that our students have a happy holiday season gives them the ability to focus on their classwork. “It spares our students the added stress of wondering if they’ll have gifts to open or even food on the table for a holiday dinner,” Matt Smith, Coordinator of Elementary Counseling and Behavioral Services for Humble ISD, said.
