RED RIBBON WEEK
We are looking forward to our Red Ribbon Week. This year’s national theme is: Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free. During this week students will engage in activities that promote a drug free and healthy lifestyle.
A fun way for our students to celebrate living a drug free life is through DRESS UP DAYS at SFE.
Monday: "Shine Bright Like Stars" - Dress like your favorite movie character
Tuesday: "Drugs are Old School" - Dress like you are from another decade.
Wednesday: "Rock Without Drugs" - Dress up like a rockstar.
Thursday: "Give Drugs a Fright" - K-2 students wear costumes and 3-5 students dress in wacky wardrobe.
As part of the dress up days, we will have our annual Costume Parade on Thursday, October 31, at 8:15 AM.
Kindergarten - 2nd grade students will walk in the parade. Parents are invited to view the outside portion of the parade.
Kindergarten - 3rd grade students are invited to wear costumes on this day. 4th & 5th grade students are invited to wear wacky wardrobe attire.
As you are planning on an appropriate costume or wacky wardrobe items for your child to wear, please keep the following safety guidelines in mind:
Costumes need to be appropriate for school.
No masks should be worn.
Full face makeup should not be applied.
Props are discouraged. No weapon related or dangerous props will be allowed.
Students should be able to stay in their costumes or wacky wardrobe for the day or be able to quickly and easily remove them without needing to fully change their clothing and without assistance.
