The girls and boys swim teams competed at the State Championships last week. The girls returned with many medals and finished 7th in the State.


Big week for the band, which held its Solo and Ensemble recital earlier this week. From marimba to soprano saxophone, everyone did a wonderful job! The students competed in front of judges on Thursday.


Humble ISD offers a diverse range of Career & Technical Education (CTE) courses to match various interests, including Dental Assisting, Culinary Arts, Barbering, Real Estate, Drone Piloting, and more. In episode 36 of Ask an Expert, Humble ISD Director of CTE Larry Wilson discusses which courses lead to industry certifications, highlights new and expanding CTE programs, and explains how middle school students can get a head start in career and technical education.

In addition to the playoffs beginning tonight, boys basketball coach Jeffrey Hamilton is being celebrated as the Humble ISD and Chuy's Coach of the Month.


The track team put together strong performances at Rice University in the annual Dick Phillips Relays.


With the help of the All-Sports Booster Club, the softball team has new padding on its home dugout as the season gets underway. The team will host a tournament starting on Thursday.


Before the varsity cheer team headed to nationals in Florida this week, the school celebrated them with a special send-off. The cheer team walked behind as the drum line played through the halls.

Orchestra students have been busy all week teaching students how to play their instruments. The students spend Orchestra Week talking to students and encouraging them to sign up for the beginner orchestra class on campus.

The auto collision students are working on car body panels during their advanced classes in the mornings this week.


All juniors participated in the College & Career Day on campus Feb. 3. They heard from guest speakers and were able to ask questions to help them prepare for their plans after high school.

Club and organizations participated in Group Photo Day for the yearbook on Thursday.

After enjoying two snow days, students return to class on Thursday.


Humble ISD is cancelling school due to the potential for hazardous roadway conditions. Humble ISD will be CLOSED on Tuesday, January 21, and on Wednesday, January 22, due to the weather forecast. As a reminder, Humble ISD is CLOSED on Monday, January 20, for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Houston beginning at 6 p.m. Monday. “Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous,” the National Weather Service stated. “The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning, Tuesday evening, and Wednesday morning commutes.”

The second semester is already as the second week continues. Students are busy learning new material.


All freshman, sophomore and junior teachers worked with students in classes on Monday to help with course selection for the 2025-26 school year. They explained what would be available in the fall and the options students had to choose from.


The choir program held its Winter Concert on Dec. 12 in the Performing Arts Center.
