Kingwood Park NHS officers joined NHS officers from across Humble ISD to lead a district-wide leadership conference today at Humble HS. NHS members from all six high schools were invited to participate and gain leadership skills.

Student Council held a food drive last week with a little of a twist. Students could donate non-perishable items in the name of teachers or principals. The staff members with the most donations were pied in the face at lunch on Tuesday.

Teaching to lead! With 41 years of teaching experience, teacher and coach Kim Ackerman was the keynote speaker at the NHS Leadership Workshop after school on Wednesday. More than 60 current and prospective NHS members showed up to participate in leadership rotations and listen to Ackerman's advice on becoming leaders.

It's the giving season! National Honor Society senior Jude Richard volunteered at United Airlines this afternoon to work with United Airlines, Humble ISD Education Foundation and HAAM to provide non-perishable foods for more than 1,000 Humble ISD families.
