We are so excited that Dr. Dwight Smith, CTE teacher, from Summer Creek High School and Ms. Toro from Student Support Services were able to come to River Pines Elementary to highlight the Law Enforcement career pathway and the importance of attendance as it relates to careers, for our 5th grade Tree Frogs!

Kindergarten's tulips have bloomed, it's exciting to see the product of all their hard work. Way to go Kinder!

Our 2nd Attendance participation was larger than our first! It was great to see more students be able to attend the dance. We look forward to seeing more Tree Frogs at the February Attendance.

We want to give our counselor Mrs. Zamora a huge shoutout.: We appreciate your hardwork and dedication to our Tree Frogs and staff. A week isn't enough time to truly express how much appreciation we have for you and what you do here at RPE, thanks for all you do.

Students and Staff celebrated the 100th Day of School, by dressing up older versions of themselves. It's hard to believe we have already reached the 100th day of school, there's still a lot to learn before we close out this year.

Congratulations to Trey Smith for winning 10 VIP visits to Kangas donated by Marilyn Mann HumbleISD community liaison. His mom won the raffle drawing at the Pastries with Principal's meeting on Jan. 27th.

Kinder planted Tulips in the RPE garden, we can't wait to see them bloom in the spring.

You are invited to help us celeebrate our award-winning art students at the Humble ISD Rodeo Art Show, at The Humble Civic Center. On Jan. 28th and 29th, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Our Parent Night at Chick-fil-a was a huge success. We want to thank everyone that came out to support us.

We are excited to announce our 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year, is Mrs. Stein. Our staff offered the following reasons why she deserves this honor: she helps students achieve their academic goals, builds their confidence and encourages lifelong learning, advocates for the needs of her students, and goes above and beyond to support students, families and colleagues. Those are a few of the reasons why we are proud to have her as our Teacher of the Year and as a Tree Frog.

Humble ISD is cancelling school due to the potential for hazardous roadway conditions. Humble ISD will be CLOSED on Tuesday, January 21, and on Wednesday, January 22, due to the weather forecast. As a reminder, Humble ISD is CLOSED on Monday, January 20, for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Houston beginning at 6 p.m. Monday. “Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous,” the National Weather Service stated. “The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning, Tuesday evening, and Wednesday morning commutes.”
Stay safe and warm, Humble ISD Family!

Check out our 3R Tree Frogs! They have shown 3R behavior this week, by being Respectful, Responsible, and Reliable. Way to go!

Our first ever Attend-Dance was a hit! Students who haven't missed a day, have been on time, and haven't left early all year got to come celebrate with a dance party. We hope to see more students at the next Attend-Dance next month. Hope to see you there! https://bit.ly/4gOKjXx

The RPE Step Team completed their yearly Step Team Holiday Tour. Their first stop was to the Administration Building, where they got to show off what RPE is all about. They even taught one of their steps to the staff. Their next stops were at local assisted living facilities, where they continued to spread holiday cheer.

RPE's Spelling Bee Finalist: Isabella Sanchez is our champion, Jasline Hernandez is our runner-up, and Cameron Houston finished 3rd. Isabella Sanchez will be representing RPE in the district Spelling Bee in January. We are so proud of the work our Tree Frogs put into competing.

The Academic: Winter Wheel Wonderland event was once again a huge success. Parents got the opportunity to participate in what their students are learning. They got the chance to see our Fine Arts Wheel in action, with performances from guitars, violins, choir, and band.

We want to thank the Be an Angel nonprofit organization for their holiday donations to Mrs. Ortega's class. They strive to fund, wrap, and deliver individually tailored gifts to students in education classrooms. beanangel.org
