Mrs. Sammon's class knows how to have fun while they review important vocabulary terms!

Congratulations to our super staffer of the month for March, Mrs. Katie Carroll!
We are so thankful for all you do for your students each and every day!

This week our fabulous 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Dykes, was honored at the Lake Houston Partnership's Teacher of the Year Luncheon. We are very proud to have her represent SFE.

Battle of the Books will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at Humble High School.

Three of our talented fourth graders—Cataleya H., Henry L., and Ben E.—helped lead their team to an impressive 2nd place finish at the 19th Annual Champions Challenge, hosted by The First Tee of Greater Houston.
The event brought together 81 schools from 12 different school districts across the Houston area. Our team tied for the highest score of the competition but finished second after a tie-breaker.
A special congratulations to Cataleya, who was recognized as the third-best girls golfer at the event! We are so proud of our young golfers and their outstanding achievement!

Mrs. Carroll's mathematicians make problem solving look easy!

Collaboration is always a great way to learn. Our peers are great resources to help us as we work through developing our ideas and solve problems.

SFE staff was spoiled with some tasty treats to welcome us back to school yesterday. How "lucky" are we to be a part of the best team?

SFE sharks make the best kind of friends!

Our first grade sharks, under the direction of Mrs. Rose, did a phenomenal job performing"Hats!" today
Thanks so much for sharing such a special message in a fun way.

We will see our sharks back on campus Tuesday, March 18th!

Happy Read Across America week! We are still enjoying good books here at SFE. Do you know how you can help support your child's literacy at home?
Make sure your kids get to see you reading and hear you talk about it! Afterall, kids want to do what the grownups do.

5th graders are enjoying Read across America week as they take time to enjoy some of their favorite books.
Don't forget that the most important thing you can do to help your child become a successful reader is to show them the value in reading!

Read Across America Week is in full swing at the Shadow Forest Elementary Book Fair!
