ISD’s new North Agricultural Science Center officially opens for the 2022-2023 school year. The new facility, containing 184 animal pens, replaces the old north facility which is smaller and has flooded multiple times.

Each of the district’s 30 elementary schools are receiving new or additional playground equipment thanks to Bond 2022 funds, federal funds, or City of Houston TIRZ funds. The first schools to receive playgrounds will be Woodland Hills, Park Lakes, and Elm Grove elementary schools.
